What is built.lt and how is it different from an agency?
built.lt is a two-person web studio in Kaunas, Lithuania (Robertas Mickus and Arminas Karmazinas) working with clients across the country. Three things set it apart from agencies: you see a working first version of your site in 2 days before paying anything, every site is built from scratch with AI rather than from a WordPress theme, and the price is public and fixed. The site shows only real client websites on their own domains.
How much does a website from built.lt cost?
A website from 600 € one-off, an online store from 1 300 €. After launch, hosting and care is 60 €/mėn: SSL, backups, updates and small changes. Paid in two parts: 50 % avansu, 50 % atidavus svetainę. We are not VAT-registered, so the listed price is final. The price calculator gives an exact quote in a minute.
How long does it take to build a website?
You see the first version in 2 days. Going fully live usually takes a few more days, about as long as it takes to approve the design and get your content.
I don't have texts or photos ready. Is that a problem?
No. We write the copy: from one conversation about your work we lay out the page structure and the text that says what you do and why someone should call you. You read it and correct anything that's off. Photos are easier than people expect: shots you took on your phone work, and so do the ones already sitting on your Facebook page. What matters is that they're real: stock photography is spotted instantly and adds nothing. If you have very few photos, we launch with what you have and add more later.
Who owns the website?
You do. The codebase, design and domain are all in your name. If you ever want to move to another vendor, we'll hand everything over, no extra fee.
How does your site do on a phone?
The same check we run before every call: Google's own speed test on a phone, plus whether a visitor can call you, find you and trust you. Free, nothing to sign up for.
